Summary

Our client, a leading payments and digital wallet company, is seeking a Senior Web Front-End Engineer to solve complex front-end challenges and build features that shape how people send money worldwide. This role focuses on delivering a top-tier web experience using React and requires strong debugging, testing, and full-stack awareness.

You will join an experienced engineering team, contribute independently to a React-based web application, and help ensure quality releases for a high-volume payments product.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop features for a React-based web application.
• Build and maintain unit and functional tests using Jest and React Testing Library.
• Debug client-side issues and trace errors through browser and application logs.
• Collaborate with other engineers on QA, release support, and troubleshooting.
• Contribute across the stack, leveraging NodeJS/Express when required.
• Follow and improve testing practices to ensure reliable releases.
• Participate in code reviews and share best practices for front-end development.
• Work independently to deliver assigned tasks with attention to performance and usability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on professional JavaScript experience.
• Solid experience using React.
• Experience with unit and functional testing using Jest and React Testing Library (or similar).
• Understanding of NodeJS/Express with the ability to work full-stack across web applications.
• Proven debugging skills on the client side and ability to follow stack traces across the web application.
• Experience contributing to quality assurance and release processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native development concepts, including services such as Lambda, S3, CloudFront
• API Gateway relevant to web application deployment and scalability

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of cross-browser and platform constraints and familiarity with CSS.
• Experience building web applications that comply with accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Familiarity with GraphQL concepts and Apollo GraphQL.
• Experience with Cypress, Jenkins, and Jira.
