Summary

We are seeking a senior part-time CRX DevOps Engineer to lead the build-out and stabilization of lower environments across AWS and Azure. This role is critical to delivering reliable, reproducible infrastructure and automated delivery pipelines that enable rapid, secure development and deployment.

The position offers the chance to shape multi-cloud infrastructure using Terraform, implement robust CI/CD and monitoring solutions, and drive DevOps best practices across the team while working through Jira-managed workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and stand up lower environments in AWS and Azure using Terraform.
• Standardize and clean up existing cloud environments to enforce consistency and best practices.
• Develop modular, reusable Terraform code to provision and manage infrastructure across both clouds.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD deployment pipelines for AWS and Azure.
• Configure and maintain monitoring and observability (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor) for reliability and performance.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations for infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Drive adoption of DevOps best practices including automation, security-minded infrastructure, and documentation.
• Collaborate with technical leads and leadership to prioritize work and deliverables tracked in Jira.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Resource Manager and Azure Monitor.
• Expertise using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code; ability to write modular, maintainable Terraform for multi-cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and environment reproducibility.
• Practical experience configuring and using AWS CloudWatch for logging, metrics, alarms, and dashboards.
• Experience setting up and managing monitoring solutions, specifically AWS CloudWatch and Azure Monitor, to track system health, performance, and security.
• Demonstrated ability to create and optimize deployment pipelines for automated, reliable application delivery across cloud platforms.
• Experience using Jira for task management and working within Agile frameworks (Kanban or sprints).
• Strong analytical skills for performance optimization and cost-effective infrastructure design.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
• Experience working within Kanban frameworks to optimize work flow.
• Familiarity with sprint planning and execution in Agile environments.
