Job Summary

We are seeking a Semi Senior QA Hybrid Manual/Automation Tester to join our dynamic E-Commerce team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our on-board applications and customer-facing apps meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will execute test cases, develop automated tests, and collaborate closely with other team members to enhance our product offerings. As part of a diverse team, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our applications while contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Test Case Design: Develop and execute comprehensive test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements. Ensure that all test cases are documented and traceable to requirements.
• Manual Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing of applications to identify defects and ensure that the software meets the specified requirements. This includes exploratory testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Automation Testing: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate automation tools. Ensure that automated tests are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline to facilitate continuous testing.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Technical Lead, and other team members to understand project requirements and provide feedback on quality-related issues.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using a defect management tool. Collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including code reviews and test plan reviews, to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Agile Methodologies: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to contribute to the team's continuous improvement.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results. Provide regular updates on testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior QA team members, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of quality within the team.

Basic Qualifications

• Test Case Design: Proficiency in designing effective test cases that cover all aspects of the application. This includes understanding requirements, identifying edge cases, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
• Automation Tools: Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar frameworks. Ability to create and maintain automated test scripts that are reliable and efficient.
• Manual Testing: Strong background in manual testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing. Ability to identify defects and provide detailed feedback to the development team.
• Good communication skills in Spanish, required to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript to enhance automation capabilities. Ability to write scripts for test data generation or to automate repetitive tasks.
• API Testing: Experience in testing APIs using tools like Postman or SoapUI. Understanding of RESTful and SOAP services, and ability to validate API responses against expected outcomes.
• Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of Agile principles and practices, with experience working in Agile teams. Understanding of Scrum ceremonies and the ability to contribute effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency in English for communication in bilingual environments.
