Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our New API pods team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our API services and back-end systems through the design and development of robust automated test suites. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the software development lifecycle by driving test automation, enhancing code quality, and collaborating closely with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to enable seamless continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the testing strategy and contribute to the scalability and maintainability of our API ecosystem within a dynamic, cloud-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust automated test suites for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
• Contribute to the development lifecycle with a strong emphasis on test automation and code quality
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI/CD integration
• Maintain and improve test automation frameworks, libraries, and reusable components
• Build and implement tools and systems to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of testing
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and support debugging and resolution processes
• Contribute to performance and load testing strategies and implementations
• Ensure test coverage for APIs, services, and back-end systems
• Advocate for testability, reliability, and maintainability in all aspects of software development

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or similar role
• Strong programming skills in C# and deep familiarity with the .NET ecosystem
• Experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks from the ground up
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and build tools
• Experience with test strategy, planning, and execution across the SDLC
• Hands-on experience with automated functional, regression, and performance testing
• Passion for clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience testing and validating RESTful or SOAP APIs or other web services
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or LoadRunner
• Experience working in agile or DevOps environments
