Summary

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will drive reliability, scalability, and developer velocity across our cloud platform. You will work closely with engineering teams to build and maintain highly available AWS infrastructure, operate Kubernetes clusters, and create self-service platform components that simplify application delivery. The role emphasizes automation, secure networking, and pragmatic solutions that enable teams to ship reliable software efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Design, secure, and maintain core AWS cloud infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, and routing to ensure availability and cost efficiency.
• Administer, optimize, and monitor Kubernetes clusters to ensure healthy resource allocation, scaling, and stable container orchestration.
• Architect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD and GitHub Actions to automate and secure software delivery.
• Write, modularize, and maintain Helm charts and platform templates to enable developer self-service deployments.
• Codify and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform to ensure consistency across staging and production environments.
• Configure and manage service mesh capabilities using Istio to enforce secure traffic flow, encryption, and advanced routing.
• Identify infrastructure and process bottlenecks and implement automation to improve deployment speed and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline developer workflows, provide platform guidance, and support incident resolution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, and routing.
• Production experience administering, scaling, and monitoring Kubernetes clusters.
• Proven expertise architecting and operating CI/CD automation using ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience writing and modularizing Helm charts for application packaging and deployment.
• Proficiency managing cloud resources and environments with Terraform.
• Experience configuring service mesh networking, traffic routing, and security policies using Istio.
• Scripting experience in Python or Bash.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with other cloud providers such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with OPA Gatekeeper policies.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Atlantis or Spacelift.
