GL - Sr. Fullstack Engineer (Frontend oriented) - Job6337

Summary

We are hiring a senior fullstack engineer to lead the effort of bringing Greenlight's core functionality to the web. This high-impact role focuses on delivering world-class web experiences by translating mobile features to web while shaping the technical vision for a horizontal web platform.

You will drive product innovation, establish engineering standards, and mentor engineers across the team. The role centers on modern frontend technologies (React, Next.js, TypeScript) while owning backend services and platform reliability to ensure scalable, observable web products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of web experiences that translate mobile features to the web with world-class UX
  • Define and drive the technical strategy and vision for the web platform
  • Establish and evangelize engineering standards, best practices, and developer workflows
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers across frontend and backend
  • Design, modify, and develop backend services that power web products
  • Manage technical debt and lead architectural evolution of the platform
  • Champion code quality through testing, reviews, and CI/CD practices
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and observability for web services
  • Integrate testing and automation (unit, integration, end-to-end) into the delivery process

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 7+ years of software development experience with a track record of technical leadership
  • Deep expertise in React and Next.js (Remix experience also required)
  • Strong experience with TypeScript for frontend and backend development
  • Proven experience building REST APIs and backend services using Node.js and Express; experience with Kotlin for backend services
  • Experience with modern build tools and monorepos (e.g., Turborepo)
  • Experience with frontend testing frameworks (Cypress, React Testing Library, Jest)
  • Experience designing for scalability, reliability, and observability
  • Experience with gRPC and REST API patterns
  • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) for deploying and operating services
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

Nice to Have

  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation
  • Familiarity with modern MarTech and analytics tools such as Segment, Optimizely, Mixpanel, or Amplitude
