Summary
We are looking for a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud solutions. This role demands expertise in cloud platforms, infrastructure as code (IaC), containerization, and DevOps practices. As a technical leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our cloud infrastructure's robustness and efficiency while mentoring team members.
Responsibilities:
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure solutions, primarily on AWS, with some Azure/GCP.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform to ensure repeatability and consistency.
- Implement and maintain containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes (ECS, EKS, or equivalent).
- Collaborate with development teams on cloud-native applications.
- Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and performance.
- Implement monitoring solutions (AWS CloudWatch/Prometheus) and ensure security compliance.
- Design disaster recovery strategies and fault-tolerant architectures.
- Oversee CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers on the team.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, primarily AWS (ECS, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, S3), and familiarity with Azure and GCP.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or equivalent tools.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools..GitHub Actions or other GitHub-native CI/CD solutions.
- Experience implementing and managing monitoring and alerting solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with cloud networking and cost optimization strategies
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and working in a collaborative environment.
- Experience leading technical projects end-to-end, particularly involving cloud infrastructure modernization or DevOps transformation initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with upgrading or modernizing .NET applications and frameworks (e.g., from .NET Framework to .NET 6 or .NET 8), including dependency management and performance optimization.
- Proven experience in migrating source control systems (e.g., GitHub Enterprise or GitHub Cloud), including repository restructuring, access governance, and CI/CD adaptation.
- Ability to work closely with software engineering teams to align infrastructure changes with application lifecycle and development priorities.
- Experience leading technical projects end-to-end, particularly involving cloud infrastructure modernization or DevOps transformation initiatives.
**Nice to have **
- AWS or equivalent Azure/GCP certifications; experience with serverless computing.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies and performance testing tools.
- Experience with cloud security frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in C#.
- Python scripting experience for automation and cloud infrastructure management.
- Experience working with legacy systems and modernizing them through DevOps practices or architectural refactoring.
- Experience in planning and executing Git branching strategies and CI/CD workflow optimizations.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions or other GitHub-native CI/CD solutions.
