Summary

We are seeking a senior SDET to design and maintain robust automation frameworks for end-to-end testing of mobile and backend systems. This role is central to ensuring high-quality releases by driving test automation, validating backend services and APIs, and improving test reliability across mobile and web platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automation frameworks for mobile and backend end-to-end testing.
• Develop reliable, reusable test scripts primarily in Kotlin for mobile E2E testing using Appium.
• Create and maintain web automation using Cypress and Selenium.
• Implement and execute API testing using Postman and automated API test suites.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests using JUnit where applicable.
• Develop strategies and test cases for backend services and integrations to validate performance and functionality.
• Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows.
• Review code and test cases to identify potential quality issues early and provide actionable feedback.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects efficiently.
• Advocate for and implement best practices in test automation and quality engineering.

Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks for mobile and backend applications.
• Should possess strong Quality Engineering fundamentals to create Test Plans and run manual tests.
• Advanced knowledge of Kotlin, specifically for creating test scripts for mobile platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Appium is preferred, but if the candidate has experience with similar tools (e.g., Selenium or other mobile testing frameworks), they must be willing to learn and adapt to Appium.
• Strong understanding of backend technologies and services, with the ability to test APIs and integrations.
• Expertise in planning and executing comprehensive E2E tests for both mobile and backend systems.
• Familiarity with a variety of testing tools and frameworks beyond Appium and Selenium, such as Postman for API testing or JUnit for unit testing.
• Excellent ability to work in a team, collaborating with developers, product managers, and QA engineers.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their integration with automated testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of Node.js
